My bride and I celebrated our 15 year wedding anniversary last night by enjoying a degustation meal.
For a couple who tend to avoid overeating, it was a mostly enjoyable but strange experience. Squeezing in the last mouth-fulls of food when you're already full is traditionally such a hedonistic practice. We celebrate those who challenge themselves to, and can complete ostentatiously big meals.
I feel like I now have enough food in me to last the week, though I'm sure by 3pm I'll be ready to demolish yet another packet of empty carbs.
