I found a search engine called Kagi that works really well. Like Google in the 'oughts it returns valuable information within the first three responses. But it's a paid service. I'm trying to justify the purchase and it has me thinking about how much I pay to use the Internet. I pay like $75 for access for the house, and thousands of dollars on devices. I pay $20 a year for a app to read Mastodon. Should another a month get added to that to make my search experience unsullied by corporate interests? When I get access to the Mozilla mastodon server I'd like to support that too. How much is my Internet experience worth to me?
