that's a good question, they also mention police a lot too.
my theory is that children can't comprehend the work that people perform so they relate jobs to the uniform you wear.
i was thinking they're drawn to the risk elements of the jobs.
i'd agree with you but for the fact that young girls often mention wanting to become nurses. and there's nothing particularly risky about dealing with bedpans and viru,....
